About us

My photo
Thank you Mike and Janet Huckabee for all your prayers, encouragement, hard work, and commitment to unify and make our country the strongest, safest, best place to live and raise our families! We pray GOD's richest blessings upon you! Please join with us in keeping a prayer focus for Mike & Janet Huckabee and the direction he will go in. Also, let's join Mike as he reads a chapter of Proverbs for each day. (Jan. 30 would be Proverbs 30). I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone; for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Thanks for praying!

Point to ponder by Randy Davis

Point to ponder by Randy Davis

"Determination is looking at insurmountable obstacles as opportunities to allow God's supernatural intervention. When God is about to do something great, He starts with a difficulty. When He is about to do something truly magnificent, He starts with an impossibility. Reaching a goal requires more than skill it requires determination. This means rejecting distractions like discouragement and doubt."— Randy Davis

Important Prayer Focus

We declare GOD's plans and purposes in the earth, and that all things in the United States be accomplished through GOD's Spirit. We pray that every hindrance or obstacle that would attempt to prevent GOD's will from being accomplished be removed! We pray for continued revelation of truth and the exposure of falsehoods.

We pray that America can regain honor, integrity and truth of character in it's leadership and therefore become once again the Shining City on a Hill, who is once again Freedom's greatest hope. We turn to the LORD GOD for our rescue and our salvation, our wisdom, direction, protection and provision.

We pray that GOD anoints and empowers Mike Huckabee as He did King David of Israel, that no weapon formed against him will succeed. We pray that GOD prepares the weapons of Mike's warfare in the same way that GOD prepared five smooth stones for the shepherd boy David. We pray that when Mike goes out to lead a Gideon’s army of the living GOD in the name of the LORD ALMIGHTY that he arises victorious in his spiritual battles.

As David's sling slew Goliath, we pray that Mike triumphs over his adversaries, spiritual and political, so that all will know that it is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of Hosts. We praise GOD that He has placed Mike Huckabee in this nation as an ambassador of CHRIST's love and hope.

We lift Governor Huckabee and his family up to our LORD GOD for wisdom in decision making. We pray that the HOLY SPIRIT would give Mike clarity in communication. We pray for Gov. Huckabee, that he would always hear clearly the direction that the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY would have him follow. We pray that abundant provision would flow through to Governor Huckabee in cash, staff & volunteers, as well as positive media coverage.

We pray blessings upon Janet Huckabee. We praise GOD for her sacrifice and support of Mike as he gives his time working to make our country the best it can be. We pray that Mike's personal finances will multiply and that he has provision to meet all needs for himself and his family. We pray special peace, comfort, strength, and protection upon her, their family, pets and home.

Thank You LORD for travel mercies, safety, and protection for Mike and his family as he travels around our nation to speak, encourage, and enlist others to support solid conservative candidates and issues.

A Memorial Day Tribute

It is because of the American Patriots from the brave men & women who birthed our nation, up through the stalwarts who have fought and died in foreign wars and those who came home to work hard to rebuild America. It is because of those who worked steadfastly to rescue and recover the innocent victims of 9-11 and the courageous men on the planes who thwarted the terrorist full plot. It is because of all our military personnel currently stationed at home or around the world. It is because of all of these, that America is still the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave! It is because of their sacrifice and commitment to us that we are able to live in the greatest country on earth! I commend and honor my husband Gary, my Dad Jim and Brother Dale, as well as dear friends, Dirk Moffatt, Greg Pugh, Randy DeSoto, David Snethen, and Joe Miller for being Champions of American Freedom and Liberty. Thank you Governor Huckabee for always staunching standing up, saluting and supporting our Veterans and their families. GOD bless you all and GOD Bless America!

Honor Our Military This Memorial Day

May 27, 2011 - 03:58 PM

by Mike Huckabee

Monday is Memorial Day, and I hope you’ll join me in remembering and celebrating the true meaning of this special holiday.

Memorial Day was created after the Civil War to honor both Union and Confederate soldiers. After World War I it was extended to honor all Americans who have died in wars and it remains a treasured American holiday.

This Memorial Day, our brave servicemen and women continue to fight for freedom in two different wars, and these heroes are also helping with the NATO action in Libya.
Memorial Day is also a time to honor the greatest military force in the world. The best and brightest our country has to offer continue to proudly step up and answer the call to serve and protect our nation. When you see one of these selfless heroes, be sure to stop and thank them and any veteran – we owe them so much.
Also, I hope you‘re able to visit a military cemetery this weekend and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us. This special holiday is a perfect time to remember our fallen protectors with prayers and tributes.

Netanyahu's address was interrupted 31 times by standing ovations...from the US Congress.

May 25, 2011 - 09:21 PM

Netanyahu’s Speech And What It Means

Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a speech to Congress, outlining his proposals for upcoming peace talks with the Palestinians. Netanyahu was adamant that Jerusalem must remain undivided. He reminded his audience that Israel is the only nation in the Middle East that guarantees freedom of religion to all faiths. And he said that the Israelis' forefathers had lived in that region since ancient times, so today's Jews are not "occupying" someone else's land, no matter what the revisionists say. The Prime Minister admitted Israel is willing to make some concessions, but certainly not return to its indefensible pre-1967 borders.

Some in the international community ignored Netanyahu’s willingness to make some concessions – instead opting for what appears to be an all or nothing mentality by saying that Netanyahu's refusal to cede Israel's pre-1967 borders is "a declaration of war."

At the same time, President Obama and the White House seems to be confused as to why squishy, lukewarm unclear speeches about America’s role in supporting Israel don’t offer Prime Minister Netanyahu or the Jewish community any peace about the situation. But if President Obama thinks Netanyahu’s position on Israel doesn't have large support, then he should think again. Netanyahu's address was interrupted 31 times by standing ovations...from the US Congress.

Sadly still, many in the international community, always think Israel should make more concessions – and that most certainly includes the Hamas leaders of the Palestinians. In fact, they've made it clear that they won't be satisfied until Israel concedes its own existence. The White House should condemn the Palestinian’s radical position on Israel clearly and repeatedly, and not because the White House wants to score political points with the Jewish support Obama enjoyed in 2008, but because it’s the right thing do.

Please Pray for families who have lost loved ones in the tornadoes

Please pray for families who have lost loved ones in the tornadoes, I grieved and my heart broke when I heard a father talk about his little toddler and infant sons who were pulled from their arms in the storm. And of the high school graduate who was sucked up through the sunroof of the family car up in to the tornado as they were on their way home from the graduation. He has not been found. The bodies of the little children have been. Pray for all the families impacted by these storms, that they will have peace that passeth all understanding and comfort from JESUS CHRIST our Healer, and Comforter. And that they will know without a shadow of a doubt that their children and every loved one is safe in the arms of GOD the Father. Pray for those who have not accepted CHRIST as Savior, grieving for a lost friend or family member. I pray that this will be the time when they hear the LORD's calling and the revelation of the SPIRIT and come to the saving grace of our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST that He may console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.

—Isaiah 61:3

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.—Psalm 147:3

"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."—Matthew 11:29

Politics have replaced the circus as America's favorite form of clown-based entertainment.

Congressman Paul Ryan's Plan

Beware of the politician who says everything is fine.

Earlier this week, Democrat Kathy Hochul won a special Congressional election in a GOP district of upstate New York. Some on the left are heralding it as a sign of a big Democratic resurgence in 2012. And because Hochul slammed Paul Ryan's budget plan as an attack on Medicare, party leaders like Harry Reid say it shows a mandate for rejecting any major reforms in big entitlements. It's funny that Reid didn't see his party's complete wipeout in 2010 as a mandate to repeal Obamacare and balance the budget, but one off-year election in New York is a mandate to reject Medicare reform. Indeed, yesterday, the Senate rejected Ryan's budget plan without ever proposing any plan of their own. For his part, Ryan accused Democrats of shamelessly distorting and demagogueing his plan. He calls it "Medi-scare." So what's the real story?

First, it wouldn't be wise to draw a lot of conclusions from one race that was so weird, it sometimes seemed like a rerun of "Twin Peaks." Republicans were hurt because the incumbent resigned after he was caught posting shirtless photos of himself on the Internet. Outside groups poured in tons of money that distorted the race; their ads included a cartoon Ryan throwing a senior citizen over a cliff. Plus the conservative vote was heavily split by a self-described "Tea Party" candidate who previously ran as a Democrat. The only conclusion to be drawn from all that is that politics has replaced the circus as America's favorite form of clown-based entertainment.

When political consultants start trying to amp up fears of Medicare reform, just remember: whether you like Ryan's plan or think there's a better way, something has to be done to keep programs like Medicare solvent. Even Bill Clinton said that Democrats shouldn't use this election as an excuse to do nothing about Medicare. Anyone who tries to get your vote by telling you that everything's fine, and the people who are trying to fix the problems just want to kill seniors, is NOT looking out for YOUR interests. He's looking out for his own.

Obama Working Under The Radar

Gun control activist Sarah Brady was on Capitol Hill last month. She said that President Obama dropped in on the meeting and told her he's working on instituting more gun control, but he has to do it "under the radar." Maybe Mrs. Brady didn't realize this, but judging from the swift reaction, giving that quote to the media officially put it on the radar.

Sincerely,

Obama And Israel

President Obama's call last week for peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians to be based on Israel's pre-1967 war borders went over about as well with the Jewish community as a ham and cheese sandwich at a Passover Seder. Congress members on both sides of the aisle quickly stepped up to voice strong disagreement. Then on Friday, the President met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and afterwards, they held a joint appearance that made history as possibly the most polite and public woodshedding of a sitting US President ever. In the most deferential and diplomatic tones possible, Netanyahu explained to Obama and the TV audience why rolling Israel back to those indefensible borders would mean suicide for the Jewish state, and that it was absolutely, positively NOT going to happen. Even the most leftwing of Israel's politicians sent him messages of support on that.

Sunday, Obama spoke to America's top pro-Israel lobby, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and he stuck to his guns about the pre-1967 borders. Although he did try to finesse it a bit, claiming his critics had misunderstood him, that it had always been the US position that peace talks would have to start with those borders. But he didn't mean rolling them back to where they were in 1967. No, he wants to start with the assumption that all the land Israel won is negotiable, and swap some of the land for peace, which has worked out so well up to now. It would be sort of like the US negotiating a treaty with Mexico by assuming that Mexico still had a right to at least half of Texas. The speech was Binyamin Netanyahu, A phenomenol leader and friend met with polite applause, and that's putting "polite" politely. I have a feeling that many influential Jewish Democrats were spending less time thinking about Obama's land for peace proposals than they were about the new places their political donations might be going next year.
Binyamin Netanyahu, A phenomenol leader and friend, graciously speaks to the joint session of Congress:
"Israel has no better friend that America, and America has no better friend than Israel! We stand to together to defend democracy, we stand together to advance peace, We stand to together to fight terrorism... In an unstable Middle East, Israel is the one anchor of stability. In a region of shifting aliances, Israel is America's unwavering ally. Israel has always been pro-American. Israel will always be pro-American!"

Our calling is to be obedient

Sometimes in the aftermath of coming to terms with Governor Huckabee's decision not to run for President, we as Christian believers can start to question whether we were following GOD or going off on our own tangent, in our passion and determination to work hard and see Governor Mike Huckabee elected as president. He has all the qualifications, common sense, integrity, personal responsibility & hard work ethics, exceptional communication & oratory skills, and to top it off his almost eleven years as one of our nation's most successful governors, making him the most experienced of would be candidates out there. Governor Huckabee's reliance on GOD and His principles are what ties it all together.

So were we wrong in wholeheartedly working to encourage Governor Huckabee to run for president in 2012? Sometimes we Christians mistake GOD's calling to be obedient for something entirely different. We WERE RIGHT to work hard for Governor Huckabee, However at times, when we hear a word from GOD, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what GOD wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him. Here is a simple story I was given many years ago, that illustrates this point exactly!

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin, when suddenly, his room
filled with light, and GOD appeared. The LORD told the man he had work
for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The
LORD explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his
might.

So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from
sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive
surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might! Each night
the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his
whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing
discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by
placing thoughts into the weary mind: (He will do it every time!)

'You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved.'
Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that
he was a failure.

These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. Satan said,
'Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort, and that will be good enough.'

That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of Prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to GOD. 'LORD,' he said, 'I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which You have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?'

The LORD responded compassionately, 'My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.

But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown;
your hands are callused from constant pressure,
your legs have become massive and hard.
Through opposition you have grown much, and your
abilities now surpass that which you used to have.
True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was
to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith
and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I,
My friend, will move the rock.'

At times, when we hear a word from GOD, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what GOD wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him. By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still GOD who moves the mountains.

GOD has promised He will never leave us or forsake us. He said His Word is the Lamp to our feet and a Light to our path. Remember who the Word, Lamp, and Light is?

Many times GOD will tell us to go in a direction for a time and then instruct us to go in another direction. That doesn't mean that we heard wrong or that the first instruction was wrong. It just means we are going on the next step in our path. Many times I have heard the LORD's direction and followed it and then still other times I have heard and not followed. I am praying that myself and all of us, including Governor Huckabee and Janet will always be good stewards of what GOD gives us and that we will always have "ears to hear" and be "doers of the Word" that He imparts to us!

Keep taking one step at a time with the LORD's Lamp at you feet!

Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a Light unto my path. —Psalm 119: 105
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of GOD, you will receive what He has promised. —Hebrews 10:35-36
Are you called to be a speaker? Then speak as though GOD Himself were speaking through you. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that GOD supplies. Then GOD will be given glory in everything through JESUS CHRIST. All glory and power belong to Him forever and ever. Amen.—1Peter 4:11

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. Friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

As always, GOD speaks to many of us in the same manner. Take time to read the excellent blogs from my dear friends Gary Walter and Randy Davis for their insight into this very thing!

Israel's Critical Security Needs for a Viable Peace

Israel must be able to defend their borders! Please watch this video!

This is an excellent explanation of Israel and the importance of their borders. I hope Obama and the Congress, and all Americans will see this video.

Don't Panic! We have a Lamp to our feet and a Light to our path.

Many people are in almost panic mode now that Governor Huckabee has decided that the LORD has called him to sit out the 2012 race for now. So what should we as devoted Huckabee supporters do?

I know what I am going to do! I will keep praying and waiting on the LORD. I don't see any hurry. The slate is not even fully laid out yet, so what is the rush? GOD has promised He will never leave us or forsake us. He said His Word is the Lamp to our feet and a Light to our path. Remember who the Word, Lamp, and Light is?

I will continue to pray for Governor Huckabee. He has shown that he listens to the LORD for his direction, so I continue to pray that he will always hear it and obey. Many times GOD will tell us to go in a direction for a time and then instruct us to go in another direction. That doesn't mean that we heard wrong or that the first instruction was wrong. It just means we are going on the next step in our path. Many times I have heard the LORD's direction and followed it and then still other times have not. I am praying that myself and all of us, including Governor Huckabee and Janet will always be good stewards of what GOD gives us and that we have "ears to hear" and be "doers of the Word" that He imparts to us!

Keep taking one step at a time with the LORD's Lamp at you feet!

Psalm 119: 105 —Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a Light unto my path.

I would encourage all of those who have been ardent backers of Governor Mike Huckabee to continue in supporting the Governor in fervent prayer as well as in keeping informed and involved with HuckPAC. Governor Huckabee is a unique individual with the wisdom and skills to lead others in a more hopeful direction. He is such a breath of fresh air in this toxic political climate that he truly stands alone as a flashing lighthouse on the shoreline. I realize many of us may seem to be "lost at sea' after his recent announcement, but HuckPAC can be our political refuge.

Remember that "suffering" will often seem to come from the people you would least expect. Our Lord was rejected by the very people whom He had taught and fed and healed. He was put to death by those who were more familiar with the Scriptures than anyone else. Suffering will also open up new sections of scripture to us allowing new insights to be revealed to us. It also can be God's way of freeing us from that which may hinder us.

When the three friends of Daniel were thrown into the fiery furnace, the only thing that actually burned were the ropes that tied them down. God's purpose is the same for us. He wants to free us from the multitude of cares which we think are essential, but which, in reality, only hinder us from true achievement.

When we humble ourselves through the suffering God allows, He gives us more grace both to respond to our offenders and to see new, rich insights in His Word. Humility is the basis of godliness. A godly response to those who offend us would be to recognize that God has only used their actions or decisions to put us through a "fire" that will be for our ultimate benefit if we respond to it and to them in the right way. God is far more concerned with our responses than he is with our experiences.

The reward of going through suffering and responding to it the right way is a new ability to understand the real needs of those around us. Before we go through the "fire" we may tend to regard Christian work or even political activities on the basis of it being merely an "organization" and people functioning as a part of it. But when the fire burns away the stubble of human achievement, we have a new ability to sense the real needs of the people around us. We can sense when they have been hurt, and they are able to sense that we would understand it if they told us about it.

It would be easy for me to look back over these past four years and conclude it has been a "waste of time" since the Governor decided not to run, at least for now. The hours and weeks and months I have put in, could hardly be tabulated. However, I do not see it as a fruitless endeavor. I fully understand the hurt many of you are still experiencing.

However, we must realize that God often works through these times of discouragement for a beneficial reason. As long as we think the person, or "situation" that has hurt us is acting independently, we can hardly help growing disillusioned and bitter. But as long as we realize that God purposely allowed that situation to occur, we will be able to gain a forgiving spirit.

When we go through the humbling experience of having been offended and react improperly towards that person or circumstance, we allow our pride to trample on the grace which God gave for the situation, and we are then left to our "own ways" thereafter since no new grace will be given to us until we humble ourselves again.

Anger is the opposite of meekness. We cannot have both in our life. Either we have one as our basic nature, or we have the other. Meekness is not a spineless kind of timidity. It is the "strength under control" that is needed in our culture. Meekness is where humility and self-control meet. It is the one quality most necessary to tame an out-of-control ego. As arrogance gives way to meekness, it is the cure for the countless ills that often hinder the quest for character. I believe Governor Mike Huckabee displays this rare trait, and we would do well to follow his lead.

Staying together and involved through HuckPAC can perhaps provide a shelter for that "strength under control" movement that America needs in these times that try men's souls.

Obama's speech an outrage to peace, sovereignty of Israel

May 19, 2011 - 01:53 PM

Statement On Obama Speech

President Obama has betrayed Israel and made a grievous mistake by suggesting borders of Israel go back to pre-1967 borders. This is an outrage to peace, sovereignty of Israel, and a stable Middle East. The nation of Israel was attacked in 1967 from all sides with a determination to annihilate her. Israel needs more security, not less. The Palestinians have steadfastly refused to acknowledge Israel's right to exist, despite long standing international law to the contrary. The President needs to worry less about the borders of Israel and start securing the borders of the United States."

NETANYAHU TO VISIT THE WHITE HOUSE ON FRIDAY, MAY 20TH

Pray that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will stand in the strength of the LORD against any and all forces that would seek to delegitimize Israel in this hour. Pray that no Palestinian Authority flag would ever fly higher than the flag of the sovereign state of Israel in the hearts of our U.S. leadership. Amen.

"I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him, With whom My hand shall be established; Also My arm shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face, And plague those who hate him." (Psalm 89:20-23)

Remember WHY we were ready to mobilize for Mike

Over 1 million Conservatives were prepared to be Huckabee 2012 supporters! Huckabee's absence is a huge void that will open the door of opportunity for many who could not win Iowa and SC with him in the way. Huck Fans: do not to get discouraged! Remember WHY we were ready to mobilize for Mike:

Honest Unwavering Communicator Knowledgable Authentic Bold Experienced Effective
Because Mike Huckabee not only fights for the protection of the unborn but he wholly believes in his heart that all life has intrinsic value. He not only fights for the sanctity of marriage, but understands the invaluable benefit and necessity of strong families to any prosperous nation. Mike can see that our current tax system is burdensome and has found a solution in the implementation of the Fair Tax. Mike Huckabee is a strong advocate of our Second Amendment rights. He supports our Military and Veterans and would provide a Veterans "Bill of Rights." Mike support Domestic Energy Independence and free trade that is fair to America. He supports empowering small business by decreasing the burden of government control and restrictive policies that stifle economic growth. Mike supports school choice, parental rights for education of their kids including homeschooling.

If we felt that our nation and future generations were in danger, and that Huck was the solution to the crisis, we must acknowledge that the crisis did not go away when he announced he would not run. Those values are still the answer, and need to be promoted. Isaiah 59:19 explains that God raises a standard during these times, and we should focus on His standard if we are to rally to victory ... not on the standard bearer. As David saw that no champion came forth to slay Goliath, he boldly asked the cowering army of Israel, "Is there not a Cause?"

When the #1 frontrunner Mike Huckabee decided not to run, a massive void was created making Huck supporters the Kingmakers this 2012 GOP Primary. Now campaigns, RNC operatives, media contacts and pollsters are watching us with great interest. It is strategically important that we stick together, hold the line and not to be anxious for an alternative. If we collectively hold out for a few months and discriminately reject those who would sacrifice our Values on the alter of moderation, our impact will lead Conservatives to a resounding victory! Team Huck and Huck PAC will be a major force in the 2012 race at every level! Let's work together and show them how victory is won! Ask your friends to support Team Huck and Huck PAC today! http://www.teamhuck.ning.com http://www.mikehuckabee.com

Pray and Intercede for this meeting that will take place at the White House on May 20th. Our very destiny as a nation rests upon our covenant with Zion. Pray that Obama will NOT turn his back on Israel, but will instead lend his full support to that nation when Prime Minister Netanyahu visits here this week. Ask that the mistakes of the past -- fomented upon Israel's head of state during his last visit to the Oval Office -- not be repeated again, but will instead be washed away by the cleansing power of the Blood of the Lamb.

Pray, too, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will stand in the strength of the LORD against any and all forces that would seek to delegitimize Israel in this hour.

OBAMA TO GIVE MIDDLE EAST ADDRESS AHEAD OF NETANYAHU

Barack Obama will give a major speech to the 10,000 supporters of Israel at the AIPAC conference on Sunday morning, May 22, officials announced today. At that time, he will lay out his new Middle East strategy after the killing of Osama bin Laden and amid upheaval in the Arab world.

A key sticking point is whether Obama, who gained atemporary boost in global stature with the death of the al Qaeda chief last week, will also use his coming address to present new proposals for renewed Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking, a source familiar with the administration's internal debate said. (Gallup.com, Reuters)

What does it mean? The timing of the Obama speech appears to be like a carefully crafted chess move on the game board. Is he intending to "trump" Netanyahu, garnering world media attention, and thus taking the "wind out of his sails" from Netanyahu when he addresses AIPAC on the evening of May 23 and the US Congress on May 24? Is the timing of Obama's speech intended to apply more pressure on Netanyahu and designed to influence his addresses to AIPAC on Sunday morning, May 22? (Commentary from Hebrew Nation)

For more information on the possible implications of this unusual lineup this weekend, please go here and read an article by Caroline Glick in the Jerusalem Post titled, "Column One: Obama's newest ambush."

Ask the Lord to be in the midst of these meetings, and that His will would be brought forth.

For Prime Minister Netanyahu: ". . . My arm shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him. . ."(Psalm 89:22)

The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you

By wholeheartedly supporting Governor Huckabee, myself and many others felt the direction of the LORD to put every thing we had into the effort to encourage him to run in 2012! That is not putting him on a pedestal. We realize that Governor Huckabee is a human subject to mistakes like the rest of us, however, we also see that Governor Huckabee is a man of sagacious faith in the LORD and trust him to be able to hear from the LORD about his direction. Governor Huckabee is truly a man of GOD listening to the voice of LORD. We support Governor Huckabee in his decision not to run for the Republican nomination for president in 2012. As his friends and supporters, it is not in any way unreasonable to have a time of reflection and meditation. This is not sticking our head in the sand and ducking responsibility. The first rule when you don't know where you are is: STAND STILL.

We must now hold each other and Governor Huckabee up in prayer now more than ever.

Deuteronomy 4:35, 39 You were shown these things so that you might know that the LORD is GOD; besides Him there is no other… Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the LORD is GOD in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.
Deut 31:8 The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in GOD, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my GOD. Psalm 42:11
By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me--a prayer to the God of my life. Psalm 42:8

In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps Proverbs 16:9
If the LORD delights in a man's way, He makes His steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:23-24
A man's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way? Proverbs 20:24
The lamp of the LORD searches the spirit of a man; it searches out his inmost being Proverbs 20:27

Love is not proud, Love does not boast, Love after all, Matters the most

Love does not run, Love does not hide, Love does not keep, Locked inside

Love is the river that flows through, Love never fails you

Love will sustain, Love will provide, Love will not cease, At the end of time

Love will protect, Love always hopes, Love still believes, When you don’t

Love is the arms that are holding you, Love never fails you

When my heart won’t make a sound, When I can’t turn back around, When the sky is falling down, Nothing is greater than this, Greater than this

Love is right here, Love is alive, Love is the way, The truth the life

Love is the river than flows through, Love is the arms that are holding you, Love is the place you will fly to, Love never fails you

Joy and peace in the midst of pain and confusion

Many of us feel varying degrees of sorrow, pain and loss, while at the same time feeling a great sense of joy and peace. It seems unfathomable, and yet is very real.

It was a very difficult decision for Governor Huckabee to make and as sad and disappointed as we are, I am very glad he was able to make the right one, the one the LORD called him to make. It shows he truly is a stalwart and sagacious man of GOD. I pray for the thousands who are hurting and on many different levels, hopeless and adrift, now that we can see really no one of the caliber of Mike Huckabee. I pray that all of us would see what the next step for us and Mike is. I pray the LORD's blessing on Governor Huckabee, as he grieves for the people he knows this decision has hurt. Without GOD's grace and mercy we couldn't go on. I know I couldn't. Thankfully we DO have them both, and His grace and mercy bring great comfort and peace.

Although We are very sad that we will not have the chance to have such a Godly man as Governor Huckabee to lead us, GOD is still on the throne and He will still be there for His people to lead and guide them. Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 118:29

For those of Christian faith here is this group, I want to share the encouragement and comfort given me by The Comforter, GOD the Father, and our LORD JESUS CHRIST:

We give thanks to You, O GOD, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near. You say, "I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge uprightly. When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm. Selah
To the arrogant I say, 'Boast no more,' and to the wicked, 'Do not lift up your horns. Do not lift your horns against heaven; do not speak with outstretched neck.'"
No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt a man. But it is GOD who judges: He brings one down, He exalts another.
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, And the wine is red; It is fully mixed, and He pours it out; Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth Drain and drink down.
As for me, I will declare this forever; I will sing praise to the GOD of Jacob. For GOD says, "I will break the strength of the wicked, but I will increase the power of the godly."
—Psalm 75

Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth, He is the LORD our GOD; His judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit." When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another. He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying, "Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm." For He remembered His holy promise, given to His servant Abraham.
—Psalm 105

It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!" The LORD is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the soul who seeks Him. He cares for those who trust in Him.
—Naham 1:7

Mike Huckabee speaks about his 2012 decision

May 14 2011

2012 Statement

The pundits and members of the political class who have spoken with certainty about my decision to run or not for President in 2012 are amusing if not amazing to think that they knew what even I didn’t know until late this week. The past few months have been times of deep personal reflection. Even though I wasn’t actively establishing a campaign organization or seeking financial support to run again, polls have consistently put me at or near the top to be the Republican nominee. When possible candidates were discussed in the media and despite polls that showed me in the lead, my name would often go unmentioned while a candidate barely registering single digits was touted as a “front-runner.” I found comfort that the nomination would not be made by commentators, columnists, or consultants, but by the rank and file voters in the Republican primary, and their support is strong and has been growing.

Concerns that I had about raising the necessary funds to be competitive or being able to win in states outside the South were answered when signs of strong financial support materialized and when polls showed me winning in states like Pennsylvania, Maine, and even New Jersey. That kind of shattered the notion that I was only a regional candidate or only supported by social conservatives.

I had not done much toward a race because my life was filled with work that I truly love here at Fox News, doing radio commentaries on my daily Huckabee Report on 600 radio stations, traveling the country for speaking engagements, and helping good conservative, pro-life candidates who were running for office. Other people probably thought about it more than I did.

I don’t have an issue with my family being supportive. My wife actually encouraged me to do it, despite knowing full well it would subject her and the rest of the family to brutal and savage personal attacks. My adult children have also made it clear they would be with me no matter what.

When people asked me what it would take for me to run, I would tell them the same thing---pray for me to have clarity in the decision. I don’t expect everyone to understand this, but I’m a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. That relationship is far more important to me than any political office. For me, the decision is ultimately not a political one, a financial one, or even a practical one ---it’s a spiritual one.

The past few weeks, the external signs and signals and answers to many of the obstacles point strongly toward running. When I am with people encouraging me to run, it’s easy to feel the strength of their partnership and commitment to help me to the finish line. Only when I was alone, in quiet and reflective moments did I have not only clarity, but an inexplicable inner peace—a peace that exceeds human understanding. All the factors say GO, but my heart says NO. And that is the decision I have made and in it have finally found resolution. I don’t fully understand it myself—but I’m sure the pundits will. But I know that under the best of circumstances, being President is a job that takes one to the limit of his or her human capacity. For me, to do it apart from an inner confidence that I was undertaking it with God’s full blessing is unthinkable. I can’t know or predict the future, but I know for now my answer is clear and firm. I will not seek the Republican nomination for President this year. I will gladly continue doing what I do and helping others in their campaigns for Congress, governorships, and other positions. I’ll certainly give more detail about this decision in due time and especially to those who have faithfully and so sacrificially been part of the process. I know I will deeply disappoint many people I love. So many good and dear people have put forth extraordinary effort without any assurance I would mount a campaign. It pains me to let them down. I also know my decision will delight just as many who aren’t that fond of me. I am eternally grateful for the faithful support of my wife, children and real friends who promised to stand with me no matter what. I had come to believe I would be in the race for President. I won’t be. But I will for sure be re-dedicating myself to standing for and communicating the principles of common sense, Constitutional government, and civil discourse that I believe are critical to the survival of our great Republic. From New York, This is MH, goodnight God bless, and I’ll be back next week.

Proud to stand by Governor Huckabee

With a mixture of sadness, but also gladness that Mike is truly a man of GOD listening to the voice of LORD, I report that Govenor Huckabee is not running for president this year. I am thankful and proud to have supported him and will continue to stand by him. And I say GOD help us and the United States of America.

Our Prayer Team has been praying a prayer for Governor Huckabee for three years about clarity and him being to hear and listen to the wisdom and direct of the LORD. I would say our prayers were answered fully tonight with Governor Huckabee's testimony of GOD's leading and direction with a still small voice. Laus Deo! Amen and Amen!
Here is a portion of our prayer focus that we have prayed consistently every week since 2007 for Governor Huckabee:

Huckabee, that he would hear clearly the direction that the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY would have him follow, regarding his decision to run for President of the United States in 2012. We pray that if it is the will and plan of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, that abundant provision would flow through to Governor Huckabee in cash, staff & volunteers, as well as positive media coverage.

A message for Governor Huckabee:

Governor Huckabee, you and Janet have blessed me so much! Even though we are so sad you will not be running, we know GOD is saying to you, "Well Done, Good Faithful Servant"

Governor Huckabee, you are a true man of character and integrity, with a sagacious ability to understand and articulate what situations and circumstances are before us and then stalwartly and steadfastly come up with the plan and carry out the action needed to accomplish the goals of conservative thought and principle. My husband Gary and I are offering much praise and thanksgiving to our GOD & Father for putting such an Ambassador of Freedom and Champion of American Liberty as you are in our midst. We have been proud to know you and serve with you!

Although We are very sad that we will not have the chance to have such a Godly man as you Governor Huckabee to lead us, GOD is still on the throne and He will still be there for His people to lead and guide them. Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 118:29

join Governor Mike Huckabee with our thoughts and prayers for Billy Graham

We join Governor Mike Huckabee with our thoughts and prayers for Billy Graham and hope he will get well soon.

Billy Graham has been America's pastor. At age 92, the Reverend Billy Graham has advised nine U.S. presidents and held more than 400 Gospel crusades in more than 185 countries, sticking to the simple message of the saving grace of JESUS CHRIST. He has left an indelible mark on the country’s faith, as well as the world, and no minister will ever again be so well received with such a vast majority of Americans. GOD bless Billy Graham, his family and his ministry.

Huckabee at fundraiser for Merci's Refuge, an extension of Champaign's Pregnancy Resource Center.

CHAMPAIGN — Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he believes a Republican presidential candidate could win in Illinois in 2012.

"I'm always the optimist," said Huckabee, who ran for president in 2008. "I think the economy is going to cause a lot of people to realize that the steps taken by this administration have not been helpful in getting people to work, getting people their jobs back and getting kids coming out of college to be able to pay off their student loans with a job."

Huckabee was in Champaign on Tuesday for a book signing at the Hilton Garden Inn and to take part in a fundraiser at the Virginia Theatre for Merci's Refuge.

Merci's Refuge, named in honor of a baby who was aborted, will be a new 12-bed residential center for young women in crisis, where they can carry their babies to term. The center will be an extension of Champaign's Pregnancy Resource Center.

Huckabee, who autographed a guitar that was auctioned off as part of the fundraiser, said providing a place to live for women in crisis is an issue he is passionate about.

"I've been a very strong pro-life advocate for a long time, and I do quite a few events for pro-life groups every year," Huckabee said. "For me it's not a political issue at all. It transcends all the politics."

Huckabee described Merci's Refuge as a refuge not only for the baby, but for the baby's mother, who may experience rejection by her own parents and friends.

"This is a person who needs love, needs acceptance and needs arms put around her," Huckabee said.

The former governor said that, during his 12 years as a pastor, he counseled many grief-stricken women in their late 20s who had undergone abortions during their teen years.

"Maybe their parents were pushing them or their boyfriend was pushing them, and they needed to get out of the dilemma they were in," Huckabee said.

"But move the clock forward 10 years and now they have kids. They start to understand the child that they aborted would have been one of their children. I cannot tell you the extraordinary sense of guilt many of these women carry."

Huckabee said he plans to decide sometime this summer whether he will make another run for president.

"It's a very difficult decision to make, and I am certainly mindful that our poll numbers are very strong," Huckabee said. "But I won't make the decision solely on the poll numbers. It's a decision deep within my own heart and soul. I'm grateful for the encouragement I'm getting, but I'm also mindful it's going to be a very brutal process."

Huckabee said his first campaign for president was an eye-opening experience for him.

"I learned you've got to have a whole lot of money to be successful, but I also learned that the American people are some great people.

"I didn't come away from it soured and down on the country and its future. I came away rather relieved that America is still a place where ordinary people can make a difference and make an impact."

Huckabee said it was his first visit to Champaign-Urbana.

"The Virginia Theatre is a beautiful facility," he said. "It's a great treasure for the community."

Don Bartos drove from Paris, Ill., for a chance to meet Huckabee.

"He's got some unique perspectives that I think are on target," Bartos said.

Rhonda Cloin of Tolono said she was impressed with the former governor.

"He's very personable, he's a great guy, and I like what he stands for," Cloin said.
