About us

My photo
Thank you Mike and Janet Huckabee for all your prayers, encouragement, hard work, and commitment to unify and make our country the strongest, safest, best place to live and raise our families! We pray GOD's richest blessings upon you! Please join with us in keeping a prayer focus for Mike & Janet Huckabee and the direction he will go in. Also, let's join Mike as he reads a chapter of Proverbs for each day. (Jan. 30 would be Proverbs 30). I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone; for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Thanks for praying!

Point to ponder by Randy Davis

Point to ponder by Randy Davis

"Determination is looking at insurmountable obstacles as opportunities to allow God's supernatural intervention. When God is about to do something great, He starts with a difficulty. When He is about to do something truly magnificent, He starts with an impossibility. Reaching a goal requires more than skill it requires determination. This means rejecting distractions like discouragement and doubt."— Randy Davis

Important Prayer Focus

We declare GOD's plans and purposes in the earth, and that all things in the United States be accomplished through GOD's Spirit. We pray that every hindrance or obstacle that would attempt to prevent GOD's will from being accomplished be removed! We pray for continued revelation of truth and the exposure of falsehoods.

We pray that America can regain honor, integrity and truth of character in it's leadership and therefore become once again the Shining City on a Hill, who is once again Freedom's greatest hope. We turn to the LORD GOD for our rescue and our salvation, our wisdom, direction, protection and provision.

We pray that GOD anoints and empowers Mike Huckabee as He did King David of Israel, that no weapon formed against him will succeed. We pray that GOD prepares the weapons of Mike's warfare in the same way that GOD prepared five smooth stones for the shepherd boy David. We pray that when Mike goes out to lead a Gideon’s army of the living GOD in the name of the LORD ALMIGHTY that he arises victorious in his spiritual battles.

As David's sling slew Goliath, we pray that Mike triumphs over his adversaries, spiritual and political, so that all will know that it is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of Hosts. We praise GOD that He has placed Mike Huckabee in this nation as an ambassador of CHRIST's love and hope.

We lift Governor Huckabee and his family up to our LORD GOD for wisdom in decision making. We pray that the HOLY SPIRIT would give Mike clarity in communication. We pray for Gov. Huckabee, that he would always hear clearly the direction that the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY would have him follow. We pray that abundant provision would flow through to Governor Huckabee in cash, staff & volunteers, as well as positive media coverage.

We pray blessings upon Janet Huckabee. We praise GOD for her sacrifice and support of Mike as he gives his time working to make our country the best it can be. We pray that Mike's personal finances will multiply and that he has provision to meet all needs for himself and his family. We pray special peace, comfort, strength, and protection upon her, their family, pets and home.

Thank You LORD for travel mercies, safety, and protection for Mike and his family as he travels around our nation to speak, encourage, and enlist others to support solid conservative candidates and issues.

Oral argument for Liberty Counsel and Virginia lawsuit against ObamaCare begin Tuesday

Liberty Counsel
Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman

5/9/2011

Tomorrow's hearing of our lawsuit against ObamaCare is making
national headlines today. Many news organizations are
reporting on the great significance of my oral argument
and Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli's presentation
that will be heard back-to-back by the Fourth Circuit
Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia.

These lawsuits - one on behalf of private parties
and one on behalf of a sovereign state - are the
first lawsuits against ObamaCare to reach the
appeals court level.

Because the three judges who will hear our case are selected
from among the 14 sitting judges in the Fourth Circuit - four
of whom are Obama appointees and three of whom are Clinton
appointees - preparation for this case has been highly
challenging. We cannot know who will be chosen to hear our
case tomorrow, so we had to make sure we are very broadly
prepared.

How important is our challenge to the
constitutionality of ObamaCare? The panel of
judges we will face is just one level below
the United States Supreme Court. As you may
recall, two lower court judges have already
declared ObamaCare to be unconstitutional, while
certain liberal judges have sided with the
so-called healthcare "reform" act.

++We are well prepared and calling for continual prayer!

On the eve of our hearing, I am asking that
you set aside time tonight and tomorrow to pray.

As I wrote to you on Friday, I'm excitedly
anticipating just how powerful the prayers of
tens of thousands of Believers will actually be!

I know each of the 76,593 patriotic men and women
who signed our Amici Book want our nation to be
delivered from the devastation of ObamaCare before
it is too late.

Above all, I know God is hearing these prayers
and that He Is answering!

I am emphatically asking that you pray for my entire team
and me in the remaining hours before I stand before the
panel of federal judges to defend the liberties of all
Americans against this outrageous law.

Your prayers mean a great deal to me and our Liberty Counsel
Litigation Team and they are also crucially important to all
Americans who recognize this blatant socialist takeover of
our medical industry for exactly what it is!

Please pray! God bless you!

Huckabee helps Md. GOP raise money as he looks at presidential run http://t.co/v3gXEKz
Potential Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said he still doesn’t know if he will run for president, but he wasted little time Wednesday at a state Republican Party fundraiser in Montgomery County practicing a stump speech, and some comedy, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of about 100.
“Maryland is kind of like Arkansas, there aren’t that many Republicans willing to come out in daylight,” the jovial former Arkansas governor said at a North Potomac home. Huckabee is one of several possible high profile presidential contenders who have yet to declare against President Obama in the 2012 election.

Some of Maryland’s top GOP brass attended the event that is expected to bring in between $15,000 and $20,000 for the state Republican Party, according to Maryland GOP spokesman Ryan Mahoney. Present were Maryland GOP Chairman Alex Mooney, who introduced Huckabee; Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold; Harford County Executive David Craig; and former Maryland GOP Chairwoman, Audrey Scott.

After the light-hearted Huckabee warmed up the audience, he shifted to a more somber and aggressive discussion about the country’s current economic challenges and the recent death of Osama bin Laden.

“We are living in some challenging times,” Huckabee said. “I’m aware of the fact that our economy is in trouble, and I think it is largely because the leadership we currently have does not understand how the economy is supposed to work. I think it would have been helpful if Barack Obama just once in his life had actually run something and signed the front of a pay check and not just the back of a paycheck. It makes all the difference in the world when you understand how business functions.”

“There are a lot of people who think the country is failing, but please do not count me among that group,” Huckabee continued. “The final termination of a maniac maggot, Osama bin Laden, was a significant event in America, and it should remind us that as Americans, when we want to do something, we can do it. I was kind of grateful that the last thing that went through the mind of Osama bin Laden was an American bullet and the last thing on earth he saw was an American soldier behind a rifle representing a country that he thought he could destroy.”

About Mike Huckabee

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee is the host of the number one rated weekend hit "HUCKABEE" on the Fox News Channel, and is heard three times daily across the nation on the "Huckabee Report" syndicated on almost 600 stations by the Citadel Media Network, where it has been the fastest growing new program on the Citadel Media Network in recent years.

He is the author of 9 books, the most recent being "A Simple Government," which is currently on the New York Times Bestseller list. This is his fourth book on the New York Times Bestseller List joining "Do the Right Thing," "A Simple Christmas" and "Can't Wait Till Christmas."

After his campaign for the Republican nomination for President in 2008, in which he finished second to John McCain, he formed HuckPac to assist Conservative Republicans running for office nationwide and has amassed a volunteer team with thousands of activists in all 50 states.

From 1996-2007, Huckabee served as the 44th Governor of Arkansas and was recognized nationally for his leadership, having been honored by several renowned publications and organizations for his numerous accomplishments. Governing Magazine named him as one of its 'Public Officials of the Year' for 2005, Time Magazine honored him as one of the five best governors in America, and later in the same year, Huckabee received the American Association of Retired Person's Impact Award. In 2007, he was presented with the Music for Life Award by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), for his commitment to music education. He served as the Chairman of the prestigious National Governors Association as well as the Education Commission of the States and the Interstate Oil and Gas Commission.MH Casual

Huckabee became governor in July 1996 when his predecessor resigned. He was one of the youngest governors in the country at the time. Huckabee was elected to a full four-year term as governor in 1998, attracting the largest percentage of the vote ever received by a Republican gubernatorial nominee in Arkansas, and was re-elected to another four-year term in November 2002.

Huckabee first was elected lieutenant governor in a 1993 special election and was elected to a full four-year term in 1994. He was only the fourth Republican to be elected to statewide office since Reconstruction.

After an early career in broadcasting and advertising, he spent 12 years as a pastor and denominational leader. He became the youngest president ever of the Arkansas Southern Baptist State Convention, the largest denomination in Arkansas. Huckabee led rapidly growing congregations in Pine Bluff and Texarkana. He said those experiences gave him a deep sense of the problems faced by individuals and families.

Huckabee's efforts to improve his own health have received national attention. Diagnosed with Type II diabetes in 2003, he lost 110 pounds. Barely two years later, he had completed four marathons: The 2005 and 2006 Little Rock Marathons, the Marine Corps Marathon and the ING New York City Marathon. As a result of his accomplishments, The Road Runners Club of America named him its 'Southern Region Runner of the Year' and USA Track & Field has named him their 'Athlete of the Week' for the country.

Huckabee, 55, is an avid musician and is bass player in his rock-n-roll band, Capitol Offense, which has opened for artists such as Willie Nelson and the Charlie Daniels Band, and has played the House of Blues in New Orleans, the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO and for two presidential inauguration balls and at two Republican National Conventions. He is featured each week in the musical segment of his Fox show with the Fox house band, "The Little Rockers."

His hobbies include hunting, fishing, running, and music. He was named one of the 25 most influential people for conservation by Outdoor Life magazine, and has was named as Man of the Year by the American Sportfishing Association in 1997.

The former governor and his wife, Janet, live in Florida and still spend part of their time in Arkansas. They have three grown children: John Mark, David and Sarah.

Happy Mother's Day

This Sunday is Mother's Day – and it’s one of the most special, non-religious holidays that we celebrate in this country. This weekend, many of us will spend time with family to celebrate generations of special mothers.

Mother's Day is a time to honor and show our love to these special women – and for those of us who no longer have our mothers in our lives, it is a time to reflect on all the things they did to make us who we are today.

I was blessed with an exceptional mother, who with my father, worked to make our family stronger and instill the Christian values my sister and I still observe today. I was also truly blessed to have the most exceptional wife, and mother to our children, Janet. She helped raise three fantastic kids, and we have enjoyed watching them become adults, ready to start families of their own.

I hope you’ll join me in wishing the very best to all the wonderful women in our lives.

While it may be a bit unusual for a political website, I encourage you to share your greatest Mother's Day memory here with us...

National Day of Prayer Thursday May 5th, 2011

The first National Day of Prayer was commemorated when the Continental Congress issued a proclamation recommending "a day of publick humiliation, fasting, and prayer" be observed on July 20, 1775.

During the war with France, President John Adams declared May 9, 1798 as "a day of solemn humility, fasting, and prayer," during which citizens of all faiths were asked to pray "that our country may be protected from all the dangers which threaten it".

On March 30, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued a proclamation expressing the idea "that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins", and designated the day of April 30, 1863 as a day of "national humiliation, fasting and prayer" in the hope that God would respond by restoring "our now divided and suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace". He went on to say, "...it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord."

On April 17, 1952, President Harry S. Truman signed a bill proclaiming a National Day of Prayer must be declared by each following president at an appropriate date of his choice.

In 1982 a conservative evangelical Christian organization called the "National Prayer Committee" was formed to coordinate and implement a fixed annual day of prayer for the purpose of organizing evangelical Christian prayer events with local, state, and federal government entities.

In his 1983 declaration, Ronald Reagan said, "From General Washington's struggle at Valley Forge to the present, this Nation has fervently sought and received divine guidance as it pursued the course of history. This occasion provides our Nation with an opportunity to further recognize the source of our blessings, and to seek His help for the challenges we face today and in the future."

In 1988, the law was amended so that the National Day of Prayer would be held on the first Thursday of May.

Since then every president has made a proclamation for the National Day of Prayer. President Ronald Reagan, President George H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush celebrated the day with a special White House service as well.

This year marks many areas that need our prayers, the protection of life and traditional marriage, the economy, border security, foreign policy, military involvements and actions including Afghanistan, Iraq, wars and the Libya conflict.
We also must hold up in prayer the devastation and loss of life in our southern states of Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, & Virginia.
Pray for comfort, peace, healing, provision, wisdom and direction, for all those effected by the storms.
Pray for Governor Huckabee as he waits on the LORD for His leading for Governor Huckabee concerning the decision of the 2012 presidential race.
Pray for the Stuck On Huck Rally the Vote event scheduled for June 4, 2011 in Des Moines, Iowa, that it would be well attended, powerful and effective in recruiting and solidifying support for encouraging Governor Huckabee to run for president in 2012 according to the will of GOD ALMIGHTY for him at this time.
Pray for Huck PAC and Team Huck state groups.

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." —2 Chronicles 7:14
"Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we have, for GOD can be trusted to keep His promise. Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near."
—Hebrews 10:23-25
