About us

My photo
Thank you Mike and Janet Huckabee for all your prayers, encouragement, hard work, and commitment to unify and make our country the strongest, safest, best place to live and raise our families! We pray GOD's richest blessings upon you! Please join with us in keeping a prayer focus for Mike & Janet Huckabee and the direction he will go in. Also, let's join Mike as he reads a chapter of Proverbs for each day. (Jan. 30 would be Proverbs 30). I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone; for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Thanks for praying!

Point to ponder by Randy Davis

Point to ponder by Randy Davis

"Determination is looking at insurmountable obstacles as opportunities to allow God's supernatural intervention. When God is about to do something great, He starts with a difficulty. When He is about to do something truly magnificent, He starts with an impossibility. Reaching a goal requires more than skill it requires determination. This means rejecting distractions like discouragement and doubt."— Randy Davis

Important Prayer Focus

We declare GOD's plans and purposes in the earth, and that all things in the United States be accomplished through GOD's Spirit. We pray that every hindrance or obstacle that would attempt to prevent GOD's will from being accomplished be removed! We pray for continued revelation of truth and the exposure of falsehoods.

We pray that America can regain honor, integrity and truth of character in it's leadership and therefore become once again the Shining City on a Hill, who is once again Freedom's greatest hope. We turn to the LORD GOD for our rescue and our salvation, our wisdom, direction, protection and provision.

We pray that GOD anoints and empowers Mike Huckabee as He did King David of Israel, that no weapon formed against him will succeed. We pray that GOD prepares the weapons of Mike's warfare in the same way that GOD prepared five smooth stones for the shepherd boy David. We pray that when Mike goes out to lead a Gideon’s army of the living GOD in the name of the LORD ALMIGHTY that he arises victorious in his spiritual battles.

As David's sling slew Goliath, we pray that Mike triumphs over his adversaries, spiritual and political, so that all will know that it is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of Hosts. We praise GOD that He has placed Mike Huckabee in this nation as an ambassador of CHRIST's love and hope.

We lift Governor Huckabee and his family up to our LORD GOD for wisdom in decision making. We pray that the HOLY SPIRIT would give Mike clarity in communication. We pray for Gov. Huckabee, that he would always hear clearly the direction that the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY would have him follow. We pray that abundant provision would flow through to Governor Huckabee in cash, staff & volunteers, as well as positive media coverage.

We pray blessings upon Janet Huckabee. We praise GOD for her sacrifice and support of Mike as he gives his time working to make our country the best it can be. We pray that Mike's personal finances will multiply and that he has provision to meet all needs for himself and his family. We pray special peace, comfort, strength, and protection upon her, their family, pets and home.

Thank You LORD for travel mercies, safety, and protection for Mike and his family as he travels around our nation to speak, encourage, and enlist others to support solid conservative candidates and issues.

Live Action proves defunding Planned Parenthood will not hurt women in Indiana.

Lila Rose talks to Governor Huckabee

Live Action president Lila Rose discusses the on-going battle in Indiana to defund Planned Parenthood and how the Obama Administration is going to the mat to restore funding, even at the expense of poor and elderly. She also shares why abortion is the greatest human rights abuse our nation faces.

Lila also teases a new Indiana-based initiative and undercover video to be released soon.

Live Action Launches “Standing with Indiana” Petition

June 29, 2011 – Undercover phone calls released today show Planned Parenthood of Indiana clinics admitting that they are not the only source of women’s health care for women on Medicaid. Planned Parenthood and its supporters have recently argued in support of restoring their Medicaid funding in Indiana that poor women will lose access to vital health care services if they cannot go to Planned Parenthood. Live Action, the group that recorded the calls, says its footage shows the reality is quite the opposite.

“Indiana has become Ground Zero in the national battle to defund Planned Parenthood, the biggest abortion business in America,” states Live Action President Lila Rose. “As more and more states, most recently Wisconsin and Texas, continue to defund the abortion giant of millions of dollars, Planned Parenthood wants us to believe they are the only game in town when it comes to providing care for Medicaid patients. In reality, their own staff admit that they aren’t the only option for women in need.”

In an official press release, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards claimed that Indiana’s defunding of Planned Parenthood would “take away health care from thousands of women in Indiana.” Last week, Live Action’s undercover investigators called 16 of the 28 Indiana Planned Parenthood clinics posing as women on Medicaid concerned about where they could receive services if Planned Parenthood’s funding was not restored.

Planned Parenthood staffers at all 16 locations admitted that Medicaid women would still have access to medical care after the defunding. Staffers suggested local health clinics or state-assigned primary care physicians for Medicaid patients: “Your primary care doctor should be able to do [a Well Woman exam,] I mean, that’s what they’re there for,” said a Planned Parenthood in Michigan City, while the Merrillville Planned Parenthood said of a local community health center, “They have the same services we have.”

“According to Planned Parenthood’s own statistics, their 28 clinics serve less than 1% of Indiana Medicaid patients, yet they do more than 50% of Indiana abortions,” notes Rose. There are over 800 other Medicaid providers available to these women in the counties with Planned Parenthood clinics alone.”

Even Indiana doctors agree that defunding Planned Parenthood in Indiana would have little to no effect on the care and services provided to Medicaid patients.

“If Planned Parenthood only sees 1% of Medicaid patients in the state, and that’s their statistic, it doesn’t seem like they are making a big imprint in the first place,” said Dr. Geoff Cly, at the Northeast Ob/GYN Women’s Health Group in Fort Wayne, IN. “I know in our group, we currently have capacity to see more patients and I’m sure many other groups could easily take care of the 1% that’s left if Planned Parenthood no longer took care of those patients.”

However, President Obama has come to Planned Parenthood’s aid by threatening to deny billions in low-income healthcare funds unless Indiana starts contracting with them.

“The Obama administration is holding patients’ health hostage in return for funding the largest abortion provider in the country,” asserted Lila Rose. “This abuse of power is a threat to every other state – that no matter the cost or consequences, this Administration will sacrifice healthcare for the needy to continue pouring tax dollars into Planned Parenthood.”

“Today we launch a ‘Stand with Indiana’ petition exposing Planned Parenthood’s deception and demanding that President Obama revoke his intervention on their behalf,” continues Rose. “Planned Parenthood has lied in covering up sex trafficking and statutory rape, lied about abusing taxpayer dollars, lied about mammograms, and now lies about Medicaid–all in the interest of protecting the taxpayer subsidies of their abortion business. States and their citizens no longer want to fund this corrupt organization.”

Huck PAC Petition To Defund Planned Parenhood

Attention: Speaker Boehner and Republican Leader Mitch McConnell

The Issue:

For years Planned Parenthood has been misleading Congress and American taxpayers. We know that Planned Parenthood gets one-third of its annual budget from taxpayer funding. We also know that Planned Parenthood performed a total of more than 650,000 abortions in just 2008 and 2009. It is time to stop the sleight of hand this organization has been using and defund Planned Parenthood now.

The Action:

North Carolina and Indiana have already passed laws defunding Planned Parenthood. In February the United States House of Representatives passed a bill defunding the Agency, although the Senate failed to follow suit. Now it is time to tell Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House John Boehner to stand up for life! Defund Planned Parenthood now and show your support for life.

The Petition:

I support Huck PAC in their efforts to stop federal funding for Planned Parenthood. I support life and urge Senator McConnell and Speaker Boehner to show their support for life by leading the fight to defund Planned Parenthood in this Congress.

Please sign the Petition and if you use Facebook click "Like" above and send this petition to your Facebook Friends.

Massive Government Scandal

Massive Government Scandal

And you've likely never heard about it on the news...

From the Huckabee Report :

Unless you follow the news very closely, you might think "Operation Fast and Furious" is yet another movie sequel. But it's actually a government scandal that some say could end up being a bigger story than Iran-Contra.

The original idea was that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms would actually supply high-powered rifles to the drug trade in Mexico. The weapons were supposed to go through the supply chain and be bought by straw buyers, who would help the BATF identify the weapons dealers and bust them. But it didn't work out that way. Instead, as many as 2,000 US-government-supplied, semi-automatic rifles ended up in the hands of Mexican drug gangsters, who used them to turn the border into a war zone and commit horrific crimes. Those include the murder of American border patrol agent, Brian Terry. The chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Darryl Issa, called the scheme "felony stupid."

The scarcity of news coverage of this scandal is a scandal in itself, because entire governments have been brought down by less. The pressure was put on BATF head Kenneth Melson to fall on his sword over it. But this is not the type of scandal where you can jettison just one fall guy and sweep it under the rug. There are still a lot of questions to answer, possibly charges to be filed, and maybe more high-ranking heads to roll.

Libya - Waiting Game

Over the weekend, NATO admitted that one of its air strikes in Tripoli was off-target and killed civilians. Libyan officials claim nine were killed, including at least two children, and 18 more wounded. Of course, it's the job of Libyan officials to make NATO look as bad as possible. But NATO isn't denying the attack. They just say it wasn't on purpose and was likely caused by a weapons system failure.

The timing couldn't be worse for President Obama. Sunday's deadline passed for getting Congressional approval of the Libyan mission under the War Power Acts. And not many Congress members seem to have bought his argument that providing most of the weapons and funding for NATO to bomb the smithereens out of Libya doesn't rise to the definition of "hostilities." It sounds like more than a mild "tiff," even to his own legal experts. It was reported that two of Obama's top White House legal advisers disagreed with that argument and fought against it, but they were overruled.

So what comes next? Well, let's hope this doesn't lead to a drawn-out Constitutional crisis between two branches of government, both of which have other pressing matters to deal with. But there are already moves starting in Congress to cut off funding for the Libya mission. NATO might have to look elsewhere for support, or Moammar Ghadaffi could emerge still in power, as the winner of a very costly waiting game.

Sincerely,

Mike Huckabee

If you missed "Huckabee" on 6/18, don't miss it Sunday!

As always the 6/18 show was terrific! I always enjoy your, "that's my view" commentary and this one was no exception. Thanks for the information about adoptees and I hope and pray these families will be reunited soon! I also really enjoyed the interview with both Duncan Hunter Sr and Duncan Hunter Jr. Some sagacious stalwarts in these men, for sure! They reminded me of my very dear friend, another American Patriot and Champion of Freedom, Restoring Liberty to our state and nation, Joe Miller!

Governor Huckabee, I am so glad you and Janet were able to meet Joe and Kathleen Miller on the Alaska Freedom Cruise just a few days ago!

But I must say the show stopper was Matt Robins and Jerrod Shelton and their Huck Fan Band! Loved the clips from former songs and the new one "What Would Huck Do?" In answer to your comment, "That almost makes me wish I'd gone ahead and run for president!," I must say I agree with Matt on his comment, at the end, when he said, "it's not to late!"

Governor Huckabee, we understood, even though we were sad and brokenhearted, your reason for not running. However we also hope and pray that GOD gives you a re-direction back into the 2012 race at some time later this year! Did you notice both Duncan Hunters were of that same mind as well in their interview with you?
Blessings to you and Janet!

1Thessalonians 1:2-3 We always thank GOD for all of you and pray for you constantly. We continually remember before our GOD and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Here's to you Mr. Huckabee—JESUS loves you more than you know...whoa,oo,oo!
GOD bless you please...Mr Huckabee—The White House holds a place for those who pray, aa, aa, aa!

I think I found somebody that I like.
I'm telling everyone that it's time to see reason for Mike Huckabee!

If you're feelin' real down you can't vote for the Gov but
What would Huck do?
You know the change we were promised wasn't enough
So
What would Huck do?
Yeah,
What would Huck do?

I said he may not be running but that don't make us done
Well ain't that something!
And although there is pain in my chest,
I still hope for the best, 'cause that's
What would Huck do!

Now if the nominee is Pawlenty, or Romney, Santorium, Bachmann, Paul or Cain,
we need to support them without feelin' sorry cause giving up is just Insane.
I pity the fool, who dwells on being blue. Yeah!
Oh, we stand with him supporting conservativism!

I've got some news for you: Obama's not gonna beat himself!
I see you're feelin' real down you can't vote for the Gov but
What would Huck do?
You know the change we were promised wasn't enough.
So What would Huck do?
Yeah,
What would Huck do?

I said, he may not be running but that don't make us done.
Well ain't that something!
And although there is pain in my chest,
I still hope for the best, 'cause that's
What would Huck do!

I know you're feelin" sorrow
you can't vote forHuckabee!
Just keep your chin up, try to fix up our devastated economy.

Now, I pity the fool, who dwells on being blue. Yeah!
Oh, we stand with him supporting conservativism!

I've got some news for you:
get up off your butt right now!

So tell me, tell me, tellme, why you wanna wanna throw in the towel?
Listen to me baby, 'cause the party really needs you right now!
Yes it does! Right Now! Right Now!

And I'm like: Why? Uh?...Why? Uh?...Why Huck Supporters!
We need you! We still need you!

They’re Still Asking: Why Not Huckabee?

The article that follows was written by Grace Klaassen and originally published online at Wise Republic on June 14, 2011:

How are they doing now–those enthusiastic Huckabee believers posting “Run, Huck, Run” signs on Facebook just before Mike Huckabee’s momentous announcement of whether he would run for President for 2012?

Not surprisingly, his loyal political supporters were saddened, shocked, and let down by his announcement that he will not run “this year.” But they are trying to understand. And they are looking for signs of hope for a future run.

May 14, 2011—the date Governor Huckabee chose for his statement—was the day many thought he would enter the Republican presidential primary race. In Iowa, a Stuck on Huck rally was planned by supporters for June. Another Huckaboom (you have to know his history in Iowa, 2007-2008) was set to begin. However, the live announcement, tacked on to the end of the Fox News Huckabee show was not what they expected.

“All the factors say GO,” Huckabee told the nation, “but my heart says NO.”

The race that had been ready to explode out of the blocks would await another day.

All the political signs looked promising for a victorious outcome, both in the primary election against other Republicans, as well as in the general election against President Obama. Polls consistently placed Huckabee at or near the top; his name recognition was growing; and his favorability ratings were consistently best among Republican “likely” candidates. Ed Rollins, his 2008 national campaign director, wanted him to run. (He has now gone off to help Rep. Michele Bachman, R-Minn., whom Huckabee in typical, gracious manner calls a friend.) It seemed that everyone was convinced Huckabee should run except himself.

As runner-up in the 2008 Republican primary and now a popular television show host, the former Governor from Arkansas and 2008 presidential candidate has maintained an enviable cadre of grassroots supporters and has gained many new fans as well. If he decides at some future point to run, or if he is drafted as a candidate or picked as a Vice Presidential running mate, you can be certain he will have an immediate group of supporters still eager to help him.

Hope does not die easily for their candidate from Hope, Arkansas. Fans note that Huckabee has not said “never;” he only said, “I will not seek the Republican nomination for President this year.” Perhaps, they dream, this leaves a door open for “next year” or in 2016. Or, by some miracle, the Republicans might come begging him to run! Huckabee has not ruled out anything completely, because he believes it is foolish to say “never.” But he is definitely not planning a 2012 candidacy.

But then, George Washington said he would never run, either. Maybe the reluctant candidate makes the best President, after all.

The reasons to hope may not be all that far-fetched, as time will perhaps tell. Huckabee has one big advantage that has widened his appeal—his own amazing ability to communicate with people. He is a master at debating calmly and with reason. And, when he talks directly to the people, he connects. His personal kindness and humor, as well as his common sense and simple government politics, have immediate appeal. The Huckabee show on Fox News and his Huckabee Report on ABC radio affiliates have allowed him to gain the public ear with what he is best at: meeting people, hosting guests on his show with unusual grace, and talking about life and politics in a way that resonates with most Americans.

So what stopped the popular and successful former Governor of Arkansas (amazingly the first Republican to hold that office in his state since Reconstruction) from running? Clearly it was the calling of God that was most important to Mike Huckabee, the man. Not what the pundits said was possible or impossible. And he said that God did not give him the go-ahead to run.

His fans wanted a different answer, yet most of them can appreciate Huckabee wanting to follow God’s will. Even though political strategists ranging from Lanny Davis, Democrat strategist, to Dick Morris, Fox News commentator/consultant, agreed that he was the one to beat President Obama, Governor Huckabee gets his marching orders from a higher commander-in-chief. As he said, God gave him the “a peace that exceeds human understanding” about this decision. Of course, that is what his supporters would hope candidates have before they run: peace with God, family, and others, but mostly within the person running for office. The presidency is a demanding and serious job; I would guess most candidates privately pray at least a little before attempting something so life-changing.

In the 2008 race, the former Arkansas governor did feel a clear calling from God that he was supposed to do this–to enter a campaign that almost no one expected him to win. He surprised everyone by winning the Iowa caucuses and finishing second to Senator John McCain in the Republican primaries. Had he received a little help from the Republican establishment and a little less opposition from talk show hosts like Limbaugh and Levin and some in the Republican establishment, we might now have a President Mike Huckabee. Americans would all know how to pronounce his last name by now. Yet this year God apparently gave him a different direction. As Huckabee explained it, God just did not make him comfortable with that “Yes” answer. Huckabee is unlikely to change his mind unless God changes it for him.

As one who has studied Governor Huckabee and become a fan of this genuinely likeable and accomplished man over the past several years, I find him to be a man of his word. I can not recall a time that he promised things he did not intend to deliver. He never purposely led people astray or lacked gratitude for his avid supporters. Because of the groundswell of support for him to run, he saw the need to not let this indecision drag on. Early May he realized there was a need to make a difficult decision and give an announcement. People could not be held in limbo much longer. Fox News was soon to ask for a “yes” or “no” on a new contract for his popular Huckabee show.

The part that Huckabee regrets most deeply is hurting his loyal, hard-working, and expectant supporters. In his announcement he mentioned “especially…those who have faithfully and so sacrificially been part of the process. I know I will deeply disappoint many people I love. So many good and dear people have put forth extraordinary effort without any assurance I would mount a campaign. It pains me to let them down.”

On various websites, posts like this one by a Huckabee loyalist show that most are working through the stages of grief: “I was sad and upset for a couple of weeks. But you will always be the best man for the job. If you decide to run I will still work to help you win.”

The folks who admire Huckabee understand his unashamed beliefs and relationship with Jesus Christ; they cannot help but admire that he puts God above fame or fortune. So their disappointment is eased by their admiration and acceptance. Americans in general still respect a person who wants to be at peace with God regarding such a major decision, even if they do not understand God’s ways in this instance. They like a person who is true to his principles. While the army of Huckabee loyalists floundered a bit, most will take a deep breath and begin to pray that some future day God will give the opportunity, the loud and clear call that would lead Huckabee to the White House or at least to the Vice Presidency. In the meantime (if the former governor has his way) they will throw their efforts behind some of his other projects, such as helping HuckPAC to elect a strong majority of Republicans in the House and Senate, as well as in state governor races in 2012.

For now, God seems to be calling Mike Huckabee to be more of a Jeremiah — a prophet to draw this nation back to its godly heritage and Constitutional roots. Some of the projects that will be keeping him quite busy–like the Learn Our History video series he is helping produce for kids–give indication of that direction in his life. And he will be fighting against big government growth with efforts such as his recent phone appeals to defeat Obamacare. We can expect that he will have plenty to say on Fox News as a political commentator this next election cycle. He can understand better than most the inner dynamics of the presidential and gubernatorial races–certainly far better than pundits who have never subjected themselves to the grueling, grinding election process that has become today’s political climate of personal destruction.

But we can’t leave this discussion without remembering our first reluctant President, George Washington.

As the popular commander of the colonial forces, Washington believed that the new Republic that was being formed after the American Revolution needed to eschew the idea of imperialistic Great Britain and other European kingdoms, of making one popular, powerful man too powerful. “No King but Jesus” was our country’s political cry of the late Eighteenth Century. When the newly formed United States of America had its own critical struggle to come to agreement on the wording of the Constitution, they realized what was needed was a man in charge who could bring the various states and their ideas of government together. They needed Washington’s example, courage, faith, experience, and strength of character, as well as his ability to lead people. And he had a quality that Huckabee has, of finding the best in all the leaders and putting it together so that progress could be made and a goal accomplished.

George Washington was the first Commander-in-Chief of the colonial army, but in 1783, he voluntarily resigned so that concentration of power would not lie in one man. However, the people loved and appreciated this humble leader; the consensus at home and abroad was that he should become the first President and retain the role of commander-in-chief for the fledgling nation. When the electors of all the Thirteen Colonies had cast their sealed votes it was unanimous. And when the news came to him that he was elected, Washington said, “I cannot give a greater evidence of my sensibility for the honor my fellow citizens have done me, than by accepting the appointment.”

Could the day come for Governor Huckabee to be drafted and for him to say that he will accept the appointment in honor of his fellow citizens? While we live in a vastly different United States from the one in which Washington lived, the government and its future success are hanging in the balance as then. Anything is possible. Many political advisors and people recognize that Governor Huckabee may be exactly what America needs. Like Washington, Huckabee is reluctant to place himself in a political process that has become, unfortunately, a demolition derby instead of a race.

When the need seems so great, hope does not die. Many people believe Governor Mike Huckabee would have made one of the more outstanding Presidents our nation has ever had. In this troubled time, it is evident that the wrong choice of President can cause a nation to fail, as is occurring under President Obama. Yet, by God’s grace, an exceptional choice could be found to inspire us again to greatness, to be a “shining city on a hill.” If it were clear that Huckabee would get the kind of support needed, I think God might just change His answer to, “Go ahead and win.”

Please take time to honor "Old Glory," TODAY

Amy Walker

Oh long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Today is Flag Day! Please take time to honor "Old Glory," as the most beautiful, as well as intricate, flag in the world.
The flag of the United States is a symbol of America's heart, just as America herself is meant to be the heart of a great people.
1777 Continental Congress assigning a nation ensign
"Resolved: that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation."
First known Flag Day celebrated Fredonia, Wisconsin, June 14, 1885, then in New York City June 14, 1889, and Philadelphia June 14, 1893
Aug 3 1949 Harry Truman declared June 14th as flag day. Today is the 62nd observance of Flag Day nationally.
There 64 parts to the American flag with significance to every part.

George Washington is reported to have said that "We take the stars from Heaven, the red from out mother country, separating it by white stripes, thus showing that we have separated from her, and the white stripes shall go down to posterity representing liberty." He also said, "Let the 13 stars in a circle stand as a new constellation in the heavens."

The Great Seal of our nation also bears reverence to our flag: "The colors of the pales (the vertical stripes on the shield of the eagle) are those used in the flag of the United States of America; WHITE signifies purity and innocence,
RED, hardiness & valour, and BLUE, the color of the Chief (the blue band at the top of the shield) signifies vigilance, perseverance & Justice."

The Star Spangled Banner

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Flag Day, a day to celebrate the birthday of our nation and ask GOD's blessings

June 14, 2011 - 03:06 PM

by Mike Huckabee

Today is Flag Day, a day to celebrate the birthday of our nation and to ask God's blessings on the land we all love.

When I think of the symbols that unite and inspire us as a people I immediately think of our flag. We are a melting pot of people from various walks of life, nations around the world, but we came to these shores to seek freedom and with it a better life. Our forefathers established a republic that would be open to people of all faiths, all colors, all ethnicities, and all political persuasions.

They recognized that we needed a symbol that would forever unite us and define us as a nation. In 1777 they chose the American Flag.

Our flag carries American ideas, American history and American visions. It has been the rallying cry for generations of Americans.

What does the flag mean to you? To me it means freedom. Please share your thoughts below.

The Secret of Team Huck

Amy Walker

The Secret of Team Huck

The Secret of Team Huck— People working together; praying, encouraging, sharing, helping, lifting, building. With GOD's direction and strength we can accomplish ANYTHING!

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS concerning you. The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, 24

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this:
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Psalm 37: 3-7
If the LORD delights in a man's way, He makes His steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:23-24

Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a Light unto my path. —Psalm 119: 105

Hebrews 10:23-25 says, "Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we have, for GOD can be trusted to keep His promise. Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near."
Hbr 10:35-36 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of GOD, you will receive what He has promised.

Romans 5:5 And hope does not disappoint us, because GOD has poured out His love into our hearts by the HOLY SPIRIT, whom He has given us.
Romans 15:13 Now may the GOD of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Tim Tebow—a Christian Superstar—Champion of Faith

Tim Tebow—a Christian Superstar—Champion of Faith

Really enjoyed the interview Governor Huckabee had with Tim Tebow on the Huckabee Show today. Tim is a remarkable young man, that the LORD is using in a mighty way to millions.

He said, "My faith is the driving force of my life; even above and beyond football!" Great testimony! Governor Huckabee said a very similar statement back in 2007 (without the part about football)! Guess great minds really do think alike! :)

Here is more of Tim Tebow's testimony:

"I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds my future!"

When asked how do you share you faith? Tim: "It wasn't something I was preaching or I was sharing, because it really wasn't. It was something I was just living. Plain and simple. It's not about what comes out of your mouth. It's not about what you say. It's about how you act and that's the greatest way to share your faith and to say what you're about, is by everyday how you go about your business and how you treat people."

Tim likes to put bible references in the eye black strips on his face when he plays football as the Denver Broncos Star Quarterback. He had Philippians 4:13 for a whole season, then for the SCC Championship game he felt he should change it to a different verse. He put John 3:16 on his face and went out and played the game. The Coach told him afterwards that during the game, people had googled John 3:16 94 million times! That was an all time record for google searches! Laus DEO! Tim has written a book called "Through My Eyes"I can't wait to read it!

You can like his page with the scriptures he uses and see some pictures here:

By the way: I agree with the two Democrats on the Huckabee show interview right before Tim! The best candidate who could run for president in 2012, IS the top rated cable FOX News TV Talk show host who recently made the decision not to run!

Stand with Indiana as they fight to protect life:

We will stand with Indiana as they fight for the sanctity of life. Will you join us? Read my full blog here:

June 03, 2011 - 03:31 PM

by Mike Huckabee

Indiana recently adopted a state law that prohibits state agencies from entering contracts with or making grants to “any entity that performs abortions or maintains or operates a facility where abortions are performed.” It also terminates existing state contracts with such entities.

Huck PAC has been an active leader in the Pro-Life movement, and we will stand with Indiana through any attacks against their attempt to prevent federal monies from being used to fund abortions.
This is fundamental to our core principal regarding the sanctity of life: "It’s morally wrong to take the taxpayer dollars of millions of pro-life Americans and use them to subsidize the largest abortion provider in America," said Representative Mike Pence, a 2010 Huck PAC endorsed candidate.
Although disappointing, I'm sure that none of us are surprised to learn that the Obama Administration argues that this new Indiana law breaches federal rules. The Administration has 90 days to decide whether to approve the law, but Administration officials have made it clear they will not approve the changes.
Indiana has already begun enforcing this law, which was passed on May 10. This new law also contains several pro-life provisions that directly affect abortion. So far, the court battle is over the lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood against the state. A federal judge refused to grant Planned Parenthood's request of an injunction, which is evidently what got the Obama Administration involved so quickly.
Huck PAC and I will stand with Indiana as they fight for the sanctity of life. I hope you’ll join me.

"The Greater Communicator"

"The Greater Communicator"

A review by Amy Walker

Reagan was said to be "the Great Communicator," well here is another that is his equal, if not greater!! The LORD has given Governor Mike Huckabee the amazing CHRIST-like ability to talk to and interact with people in such a way as to lift them up, without compromising his own core values, regardless of whether the others agreed or were diametrically opposed and disagreed with him, on any number of issues.
When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
—Proverbs 16:7

Mike doesn't flatter people for points or tear down people because they are of a particular political party, religion or ethic group. It is this phenomenal gift of showing others their intrinsic worth and value that enables Mike to connect with others of all stripes, demographics, and stature and actually open dialogue and start a process where, after all is said an done, he hadn't compromised, and yet the others were actually considering his viewpoints!

I have watched and listened to hundreds of hours of speeches, interviews and talks of Governor Huckabee on a very large variety of topics. One of the most enjoyable aspects of listening to him is his irrepressible humor no matter the subject or seriousness of it. However, I have rarely seen him have a more serious discussion without once giving a hint of a smile or amusing antidote. The wisdom, common sense and sagacious (keen mental discernment) ability that GOD has imparted to Mike Huckabee is truly astounding and of a value beyond worth. No wonder he served 3 and 1/2 years as Lt. Governor, then was elected twice and served almost 11 eleven as a Republican governor of an overwhelmingly Democratic state! It is an absolute honor and privilege to know, listen and learn from such a Godly disciple of JESUS CHRIST!

After speaking to the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 1, 2011 Governor Huckabee took and responded to unscripted questions. To the question of how to tell the American people how to solve some of the most pressing issues such as the deficit, unfunded liabilities and others as a candidate for office, Governor Huckabee responded: "I'm not sure the political election process is the environment in which it can be told. Our election environment has become incredibly toxic to the point that I am not sure the country is presently governable. I know that is a very bold statement. But I am telling you now, it is becoming to where it is impossible to actually govern. Not just because of the other side is going to take you on because of everything that you say and parse every word and bring nuances to everything thing that is said because your own party will do that. One of the processes that I was going through in deciding whether or not to run in this election cycle was whether or not the environment in the Republican Party was really about moving the country toward where we had pragmatic solutions to governing the country or whether it was about can we poke out the eyes of the other guy before they poke out our eyes. And I will be honest with you. Right now, I'm convinced that it is all about poking out each others eyes. It's not about solving real problems, and until we change that—when I say we—we as a culture—as a country, have to
utterly reject that one party is always right and the other party is always wrong. That's nonsense.

Taking you back to my own tenure are a governor: I inherited a legislature had 89 Democrats and 11 Republicans. We had 39 Democrats in the Senate and we had 4 Republicans in the Senate. The other was the House of course. You know, I didn't major in math in college but I was pretty well capable of figuring out what 50 percent means and I knew if I went out there and said, "we're going to have a Republican agenda here," we wouldn't pass anything. And it became very obvious that if something like an ARKIDS FIRST would pass and if we were going to get a road program to change that hideous piece of highway between here and Memphis, or the one between here and Texarcana or the one between here and Fayetteville, or any of the other roads, it meant we were going to have to have Democrats and Republicans who saw a common problem and were willing to get to a common solution. It worked because we had Democrats—as much as we had a Republican governor—we had responsible Democratic members of the legislature who said, "yeah, those are real problems and we will work with you to fix them." If they had just bowed up and said, "as long as you're here, we won't pass a doggone thing!," none of that could have happened. And when it did happen, [working together] it was incumbent upon me, to me, to give them the respect that they were due. And to go to their civic clubs, and their home towns, and to praise them as examples of bipartisan public spirited good servants. That made people in my own party mad, because they thought that I should never have given, in essence, that much accolade to people of the other side. There's still people mad at me for that.

My job, once I was elected was not to tell people how bad Democrats were; it was to try to find solutions to real problems. Now, Washington isn't of that mindset right now. It is of the mindset that our side is always right and their side is always wrong. I find that disgusting, deplorable, and absolutely inaccurate. You know, I have said many times, Republicans are not right all the time and Democrats are not wrong all the time... They're wrong most of the time, but not" [OK, his humor couldn't be repressed any longer, huge laughter erupts, !] "What did you expect huh?!! All kidding aside, Ronald Reagan... I'm not sure he could get nominated today, much less, elected because Ronald Reagan understood that governing and the art of governing, is an art, not a science, and in order to do it, you have to work with in the context of political atmosphere you have, not the one you wish you had. So did he make deals? YES! Did he compromise? YES! He even raised taxes, both as a governor and as a president. Because he understood that in order to get some big things that were important to him, he had to give up some little things that weren't as important to him. And we think he was a great president.

Bill Clinton. for whom this center is named, probably didn't have on his agenda, welfare reform, when he ran in 1992, but he worked with Republicans to make it happen and it turned out to be one of the most successful ventures of his presidency. And it resulted in people going to work, not being on welfare. He left this country with a surplus. There were many things with which he could have bowed up and said, "nope, I will not work with the Republican majority in the House." but, again, he had been a long term governor. He understood that you can't work like that. To the country's benefit, he didn't. And I think what ever the country thinks of Bill Clinton, you have to give him credit for, to me, was the vision to govern with what he had, not what he wished he had. I'm sure he would have rather had 435 Democrats in the House and 100 Democrat Senators but he didn't have it. He worked with what he had. That's how it has to be."

Here is the whole speech and question if you want to be really blessed!
